Berlin, Beuys and the Bader-Meinhof: a Beginner’s Guide to Modern German Art by Sophie Cummings

Modern German art is responsible for some of the most fascinating artists and controversial art works of the last fifty years. Join Sophie Cummings to explore the work of Gerhard Richter, Anselm Kiefer, Josef Beuys and Sigmar Polke, and discover how the combination of post war politics, cold war culture and rise of the sixties youth movements helped make and shape modern German art. Sophie Cummings is curator at Swindon Museum and Art Gallery.
