For two days only the downstairs galleries at the Bath Road venue are being reimagined.
Drop in for clay-making and get involved with other creative activities, including our quiz ‘The Swindon Social’ which draws inspiration from our town’s many stories from the past.
Grab a free glass of ginger beer from our Swindon themed ‘ginger bar’ or buy delicious gourmet coffee and hot chocolate from Coffee Gang and have a chat with us.
We are throwing open our doors and welcoming you to come and have fun, to be creative and to find out more about your local museum and art gallery, including its world-class ceramics collection.
Swindon Museum and Art Gallery is one of six museums taking part in ‘Creative Museums’, a programme of collaborative learning and testing led by Battersea Arts Centre in partnership with independent consultant Gaby Porter + Associates. This programme is funded by Arts Council England.
As part of this programme and to celebrate our new opening hours (from Tuesday 4th April we will be open from 10am-5pm, Tuesday to Saturday), artist Amy Pennington and the team of staff and volunteers at Swindon Museum and Art Gallery invite anyone and everyone to ‘Ceramic Conversations’ on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd April,10am to 5pm.
We hope to see you there!
