Fractures: Texture and Fragility in Modern Ceramics

Wednesday, 25 July | 10.00 am - Saturday, 24 November | 5.00 pm

| Free

This exhibition explores Swindon’s collection of modern ceramics through ideas of texture and fragility. It brings together challenging ceramic sculpture by Ian Auld, Gordon Baldwin, Ben Arnup and Sara Radstone. Alongside these, it will showcase exquisite bone china and porcelain vessels by Sasha Wardell, Jo Taylor, Lucie Rie and Edmund de Waal.

The exhibition complements Art and Conflict and Cicatrix, and explores how ceramic art can reflect vulnerability, strength, peace and aggression.
