Rolt - Twin Elms smallCreative Wiltshire: A Celebration of Art in Wiltshire

Salisbury Museum

Saturday 19 January to Saturday 4 May 2019

Creative Wiltshire is a Heritage Lottery Funded project running from 2014-2019 working to collect and celebrate the art of the county’s creative people. The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to see pieces only very recently acquired by Salisbury Museum, including paintings by Rex Whistler and Wilfred de Glehn; bronze sculpture by Jonathan Wylder; and etched glass by Sir Laurence Whistler. Swindon MAG have also been involved in the project, and loaned many beautiful artworks to showcase the talents of artists like Joe Tilson, and ceramicists like Katherine Pleydell-Bouverie and Patricia Volk. The result is an eclectic and visually stunning celebration of art in Wiltshire.
